As an action aimed at improving the quality of life of more than two thousand neighbors from six sectors in the commune of Puchuncaví, Fundación AES Gener together with the Municipality carried out a participatory reforestation program of a thousand trees. This initiative consisted of land clearing, leveling, installation of technified irrigation systems, tree planting and improvements in green areas.
More than 250 people, representatives of educational establishments and neighbors participated in diagnosis and decision-making according to their needs and interests. Together they defined which species they wanted to plant and where.
The plan culminated in its stage of species afforestation, watertight green areas and equipment delivery, with ceremonies in each of the sectors, involving the community, the municipality and representatives of the company.
