  • Thanks to the Trust Fund signed with the San Matías Wind Farm, the electrical circuit of the community space was renewed, with the aim of improving the safety conditions in which they carry out their various activities.

The members of the Victoria La Candelaria Neighborhood Association in Los Ángeles will be able to meet and carry out various community activities in their social headquarters under greater safety conditions thanks to the renewal of the electrical circuit of the place.

This improvement was made possible thanks to the 2024 Trust Fund, one of the commitments established during the construction phase of the San Matías Wind Farm by AES Chile, which consists of providing an annual amount of money to develop initiatives prioritized by the community itself.

Thanks to this contribution, the wiring system, the panel, sockets, and lighting were renewed, which involved the installation of new electrical circuits to better utilize the resource and efficiently use the various devices. Additionally, the renewal of the circuit ensures regulatory compliance, guaranteeing the minimum safety conditions that low-voltage electrical consumption installations must meet.

Erica Ulloa, president of the Victoria La Candelaria Neighborhood Association, explained that 100% of the resources were allocated to this replacement and highlighted that "it is a great advance for the sector since, in this way, the headquarters is safer, reducing the possibility of cable cuts or potential fires."

Cristián Olivares, head of Operation and Maintenance of the San Matías Wind Farm, emphasized that "our company is always willing to collaborate with the needs of our neighbors, who are very important to us, and what better way than to contribute with our primary value: safety. Additionally, this change results in greater energy efficiency for the headquarters."

The San Matías Wind Farm of AES Chile has a permanent commitment to the communities in its area of influence.

The Victoria La Candelaria Neighborhood Association is an organization that brings together more than 400 active members who constantly work for the development of their locality.
