  • This training plan, promoted by Fundación AES Chile, responds to the needs identified during the participatory process of the Tocopilla Just Transition Plan.

Women took all the credits in the Entrepreneurship and Business Management course developed in Tocopilla by Fundación AES Chile, as 97% of the participants were local women.

The program, taught by INACAP to 23 Tocopilla residents and lasting two and a half months, aimed to develop technical skills in management, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It provided participants with tools to improve their current businesses and explore new ventures needed in the community and the region.

This initiative is an important contribution from AES Chile, through its Foundation, in response to the commitment with the Ministry of Energy within the framework of the Tocopilla Just Socio-Ecological Transition Plan.

In this regard, Paola Olivares, director of Fundación AES Chile, stated, "We are pleased to support the entrepreneurs of Tocopilla, especially when 22 out of 23 students were women. The high female participation reflects their eagerness to acquire more knowledge and start new businesses."

This training plan, designed to respond to the needs identified during the participatory process of the Tocopilla Just Transition Plan led by the Ministry of Energy, reflects the continuous commitment of AES Chile through its Foundation to labor reconversion in Tocopilla, which is an important part of its community engagement policy.
