Neighbors of La Quebrada de Puchuncaví will have a rural medical station

Starting in November, the inhabitants of the La Quebrada de Puchuncaví community will have facilities to receive health care. It is a rural medical station that will provide care for different areas of health, in one of the most remote locations in the commune. Currently, residents receive medical rounds, operations and safety talks in a room belonging to the La Quebrada basic school.

The initiative is part of the ninth version of the Puchuncaví Competitive Fund (FCP), promoted by AES Chile in coordination with the municipality. The project includes the installation of a modular container that promotes functional and sustainable use.

The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Puchuncaví, Marcos Morales, councilor Erika Galarce, along with the head of Social Investment of the AES Chile Foundation, Macarena Badilla.

The highest communal authority highlighted that “an important project has arrived in La Quebrada. This agreement, a product of the Puchuncaví Competitive Fund, continues to bear fruit, with an initiative that materializes deeply in the community and with older adults as the main beneficiaries.”

The councilor thanked the neighborhood leaders, “who have taken care to develop this beautiful project. Without a doubt it is one of the most important initiatives, because it covers the area of ​​health, condition and quality of life of people.”

Claudia Vicencio, president of the La Quebrada Neighborhood Council, assured that “it is a dream that the neighbors had for many years, regarding having decent facilities to receive health care. Today we can inaugurate these wonderful modules that will be enabled starting in November.”

Meanwhile, Macarena Badilla, head of Social Investment at the AES Chile Foundation, highlighted that “we are very happy to materialize such a necessary initiative for the residents of La Quebrada and especially for the elderly, who often have to travel long distances. distances to receive medical care. “This initiative reflects the positive results of public-private work.”

The Puchuncaví Competitive Fund considers an annual amount of 4,711 UF, which, in its nine versions, has benefited more than 250 projects from 163 social organizations, for more than $1,168 million destined to improve the quality of life of residents.

The allocation of competitive funds is determined by a board of directors made up of members of the Municipality and AES Chile.
