Neighborhood Board Porvenir improves security conditions with the support of the San Matías Wind Farm project

The Porvenir Neighborhood Board of Los Angeles will have better security conditions thanks to the support of the San Matías Wind Farm project of AES Chile, located in that commune.

The group began works for the construction of a perimeter closure for its neighborhood headquarters and the multi-court sector, in order to improve security.

The closure was carried out with galvanized mesh, posting and the installation of a sliding gate, thanks to the contribution of the 2022 Trust Fund, which emanates from the Mutual Collaboration Agreement signed between the wind project and the community organizations in its area of ​​influence.

The completion of the works will take place in the coming weeks, thanks to the contribution of the Confidence Fund corresponding to the current year.

Neftalí Bianchi, president of the Porvenir Neighbors Board, said that “the installation of this perimeter fence allows us to provide greater security to the implements we have at the headquarters. For us it is a great contribution from the San Matías Wind Farm project”.

Meanwhile, the head of Territorial Management and South Zone Communities of AES Chile, Benjamín Rengifo, said that "as a company we are very happy to be able to contribute to the Porvenir Neighborhood Board, because thanks to the dialogue with its leaders, we were able to jointly identify these improvements in the security of its community headquarters."

The San Matías Wind Farm project -currently under construction- is part of the Greentegra transformational strategy that AES Chile launched in May 2018 and which, together with accelerating the future of energy, seeks to contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change, through the development of renewable solutions.
