Members of the Las Newenches de Santa Fe indigenous association began a dental operation

The members of the Las Newenches indigenous Association of Santa Fe de Los Ángeles began to develop a dental operation, thanks to the financing of the 2022 Trust Fund, which is part of the Mutual Collaboration Agreement signed with the San Matías Wind Farm project of AES Chile .

The initiative began during the second half of July and will run until next month. To date, it has already benefited 15 members with care of different types, such as dental cleanings, extractions, caps and seals.

Among the main beneficiaries are the members of the Association who normally have complications to be cared for in the public health system, given the incompatibility of time with their work sources.

“I want to thank you for this agreement. From the beginning we have had several conversations with the company to be able to reach agreements and one of them is the Trust Fund, with which we have been able to develop this dental project," said José Ceballos Antipán, president of the Las Newenches de Santa Indigenous Association. Faith.

The leader added that "the evaluation is excellent, because many times the schedules of public services do not coincide, while here a schedule has been accommodated so that people can arrive."

Benjamín Rengifo, head of Territorial Management and South Zone Communities of AES Chile, assured that "we are very happy that the Trust Fund has results of this type, as it is a direct improvement in the quality of life of the neighbors, especially in an aspect as important as dental health care. We hope to continue developing these types of initiatives that benefit the community so much.”

The 2022 Trust Fund is part of the Mutual Collaboration Agreement signed between the wind initiative and the community organizations in its area of ​​influence.

The San Matías Wind Farm project -currently under construction- is part of the Greentegra transformational strategy that AES Chile launched in May 2018 and which, together with accelerating the future of energy, seeks to contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change, through the development of renewable solutions.
