Inacap recognized AES Andes for its commitment to Professional Technical Education

The support that AES Andes is providing to professional technical education was recognized by Inacap. The higher education institution held a ceremony today to highlight the companies that support the job placement of its graduates and also presented the Emplea Futuro INACAP award in the categories: large company, SME and alumni companies.
The ceremony was headed by the president of Inacap, Alberto Salas, who thanked the important contribution that companies make throughout the country by hosting Inacap students in their internship periods and later as professionals.
“Thanks to Inacap, more than 50,000 people improve their quality of life every year and this important achievement would not be possible without the companies that believe in us and our graduates,” said Salas.
Mariana Soto, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of AES Andes, thanked the recognition granted by Inacap and indicated that “we are totally convinced that education, both technical and university, is a tool for social mobility. For this reason, at AES, among other initiatives, we open the doors of our company to students who study careers related to renewable energies.”
Soto added that Inacap students also take guided tours of the wind farms that the company has in operation in the Biobío Region, as part of their educational outings.
In the activity, in which all the Inacap offices in the country were connected to the ceremony, Lucas Palacios, Rector of INACAP, Matias Escabini, Academic Vice Rector, Nicolás Valdivieso, Student Vice Rector, among other representatives of Inacap, also participated. Ricardo Mewes and Fernando Alvear representing the CPC.
