Santiago, August 2024.- To continue consolidating the strategic alliance they have, representatives of the Fundación AES Chile and the AIEP Professional Institute signed a collaboration agreement that opens up new development possibilities in the areas of the country where both institutions are present.

The agreement was signed by the director of the Fundación AES Chile, Paola Olivares, the president of its board of directors and vice president of Legal Affairs of AES Andes, María Paz Cerda, and the rector of AIEP, Loreto Ferrari.

The agreement aims to collaborate in the development of programs and activities to promote employability, innovation and entrepreneurship, support for SMEs, community commitment, and relationships with the environment in various areas of the country.

AES Chile's relationship with AIEP began in Los Ángeles, Biobío region, a commune in which the company has wind farms.

The director of the Fundación AES Chile, Paola Olivares, said that “we have been working with AIEP for more than two years in Los Ángeles and now we want to extend our alliance to the other communities where AES Chile has operations and projects and AIEP is present. This agreement will directly benefit the communities in our areas of influence.”

Meanwhile, María Loreto Ferrari, Rector of the AIEP Professional Institute, said that “it is a great joy for us to be signing this agreement that formalizes the work we have been doing with AES Chile in Los Ángeles and that together leads us to provide services, train and support the communities where we both have an interest.”

She added that “this joint work has been wonderful, because we have been able to provide podiatry services, aesthetic services, support in a social work and in different aspects of their lives to the communities. This makes a lot of sense with our students, teachers and teams, so we hope that we can multiply this initiative several times in different communities.”

María Paz Cerda, Vice President of Legal Affairs at AES Andes and President of Fundación AES Chile, stated that “this agreement with AIEP is an important part of the work we do with communities throughout Chile. We are very grateful to AIEP for having wanted to sign this agreement with us.”

Among other aspects, with this alliance, AIEP makes its facilities available to the collaborators of Fundación AES Chile so that they can carry out activities related to projects that benefit the communities.
