The project carried out consisted of the expansion of the main hall of the headquarters and its kitchen, in addition to the purchase of sports equipment for the members.
The works were carried out by the neighbors, who for 7 months worked on the execution of new facilities that seek to provide new and more comfortable spaces for 115 members who will directly benefit.
In addition, the funds allowed the purchase of new clothing such as soccer balls, t-shirts, training cones, goal nets, among other implements.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the mayor of Puchuncaví, Marcos Morales; the person in charge of Community Organizations of the municipality, Álvaro Abarca; the head of the Chemical Control and Water Management Department of the Ventanas Power Plant of AES Chile, Luis Marcelo Sepúlveda, along with club members and company representatives.
“The Litoral Sports Club has inaugurated a new infrastructure project of the Puchuncaví Competitive Fund. This is a 10 million pesos project that has seen the work and commitment of its partners and leaders, in which we as the Municipality and the company AES Chile have collaborated to make this a success,” said Mayor Marcos. Morales.
“The impact that this project has is to give the club its own identity, generated by a physical structure that gives it a sense of belonging to the community, residence and alliances with other networks to generate unity with the people of the area, sports clubs, neighborhood associations, firefighters, schools, among others,” said Romina Manzo, partner of the sports group.
Along with thanking the neighbors and the municipality for their work, Luis Marcelo Sepúlveda highlighted that “when we improve the community infrastructure we are contributing beyond the concrete value of this, since spaces for union and recreation that are so necessary for the community are generated. As AES Chile we are proud to be able to contribute to an activity as noble as that carried out by the Litoral de Maitencillo Sports Club, especially in the training of the youngest."
