During 2024

AES Chile Training Courses Benefit More Than 80 Neighbors from Rural Areas of Los Ángeles and Mulchén

December 27, 2024

Fundación AES Chile conducted a successful annual review of its social investment strategy in the Biobío Region. During 2024, six training courses were held for neighbors from rural areas of the Los Ángeles and Mulchén communes, where the company operates the Campo Lindo, San Matías, Mesamávida, and Los Olmos wind farms.

The objective was to provide participants with technical skills and tools to improve their socio-economic development opportunities.

This year, the courses benefited more than 80 people, 65% of whom were women. The training sessions were conducted in both theoretical and practical modalities in collaboration with specialized technical organizations in the region.

Paola Olivares, director of Fundación AES Chile, highlighted that "in 2024, we aimed to especially promote the participation of women, which aligns with one of our social investment pillars that seeks to make them promoters of local development in their territories. The final balance is very positive, and we hope to continue contributing next year with the training of new participants from communities near our wind farms."
