AES Chile Recognized by iDES 2024 of SOFOFA

• The distinction was awarded during the "Trust to Grow from Sofofa: A View from Citizenship and Business Management" seminar.

Santiago, November 2024.- AES Chile was recognized for its contribution to the 2024 Sustainable Business Development Index (iDES), which is prepared annually by the Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA).

The award was presented to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of AES Andes, Mariana Soto, during the "Trust to Grow from Sofofa: A View from Citizenship and Business Management" seminar, which was led by the president of the guild entity, Rosario Navarro.

SOFOFA indicated that AES Chile was recognized for "the company's firm commitment to creating a country where companies are connected with society and people feel proud of their companies' work."

Mariana Soto, while thanking for the recognition, stated that "this motivates us to continue working with dedication and responsibility to contribute to the development and well-being of our community. Like SOFOFA, we understand trust and sustainability as enablers for the country's growth."

During the event, Heriberto Urzúa, Vice President of the Sustainable Business Development Committee, shared the results of the 2024 iDES and the Business Trust Barometer. Additionally, two discussion panels were held, featuring Rosario Navarro, academic and business director Nicolás Majluf, President of the Community of Solidarity Organizations Alejandra Pizarro, elected mayor of Antofagasta Sacha Razmilic, and mayor of Renca Claudio Castro.
