September 6, 2024

AES Chile was recognized by the Great Place to Work 2024 ranking in 4th place among the best companies to work for women in the country, in the category of firms with up to 1,000 employees. This way, the company reaffirms its position from the 2023 measurement.

The CEO of AES Andes, Javier Dib, thanked for this new recognition and added, "We are very pleased to continue standing out as a company that values the talent and capabilities of our female employees and that continuously advances initiatives to incorporate and retain them, both at the corporate level and in operations throughout Chile. Our female workers are, of course, a fundamental pillar in our purpose of accelerating the future of energy."

Among AES Chile's advances in equity and diversity, the Iguala Conciliación Seal awarded in 2023 by the Ministry of Women, through the National Service for Women and Gender Equity (SernamEG), stands out. This certification is given to organizations that implement integrated gender equality and work-life balance management systems, as part of the Chilean Standard 3262. AES Chile was the first company in the energy sector to achieve this standard.

Additionally, the company has provided various leadership courses across the board for its female employees. This year, a development coaching program is being conducted for 75 women to continue advancing their development opportunities within the company and improving their quality of work life.

Another notable aspect is the increase in its female workforce in recent years, which currently stands at 17%. Additionally, 25% of women hold leadership positions within the company.
