March 30, 2023
The Company ranked 6th in Great Place To Work 2022 as a leader in the category with up to 1000 employees.
Santiago, March 29, 2023 - AES Chile has been recognized as one of the six best companies to work for in the country, according to the Great Place To Work 2022 ranking.
As a result, the company climbed four places, significantly surpassing the tenth place achieved in 2021.
Companies that have been certified by Great Place to Work are those that have a good working environment in the organization, promote innovation, attract talent through selection processes and reduce employee turnover, among other things.
The Company's CEO, Javier Dib, thanked all the Company's employees. "This is an award that fills us with pride. In AES Chile, we are taking on greater challenges such as the energy transition and the fight against climate change, and it is essential to rely on the commitment, skills and experience of all our teams. Our people are the driving force behind the changes we are making," he said.
The CEO emphasized that "as a company, we have been able to promote a work environment where safety is at the center of our operations and we are moving towards a more inclusive and diverse culture, with opportunities based on respect, together with an increased involvement of women in different work positions.”
This is evidenced by tangible results, such as an increase in the number of women in leadership positions and a higher number of female employees. While 21% of women held management positions at the end of 2021, this figure had risen to 27% by the same time in 2022.
Meanwhile, the percentage of female employees has increased from 10% (3 years ago) to 17% today.
Putting safety first is AES Chile's number one value, which is reflected in an ongoing concern for people. This has resulted in zero accidents in the plants.
In addition, the Company continues to successfully develop the hybrid work modality, with both home office and face-to-face work, which has made it possible to maintain the sense of collaboration and belonging.
